Issue No: 07
Message from Group Managing Director
My Dear Al Ansari Family Members,
I am delighted to see that we have been able to come out with our 7th Issue of our Update within the period of 6 months. Let us keep the same spirit for future issues.
Today, my feelings are similar to that of a bead of the family when he finds out that all his family members have been performing well, achieving their goals and are in good health.
Not only that but also bringing in fame and excellent reputation to the family. No doubt that I am proud of each and everyone of my family members who are the pillars of our strength.
The first half of 1997 has been very busy and eventful as we have been growing in our respective fields. Reading the report from our department beads and the photographs included that follows in this report, it is evident that we all have been well occupied for the first half of the current year.
The annual days this year were sheer examples of excellence and very well appreciated by the management. It deserves a pat on the shoulders of the organizing committee together with volunteers and participants. Our good luck to the 10 years service awardees for their continuous commitment, dedication and contribution. We welcome the new members who have boarded the Al Ansari wagon in the past six months and best of luck to the ones who have departed from it in whatever future endeavors.
Congratulations to the Trading Division who has received i awards from their principals A. O. Smith of USA and K.S.B. Ajax of Australia for their sales achievements in 1996. Better not be complacent and try for more awards in future.
Our praise and good wishes goes to Media Computers also for adding a feather in their cap by signing a distributorship agreement with Philips Middle East and being appointed as their approved Service Center. “Alf Mabrook”!
I am glad that we are becoming more and more safety conscious and we are proud of it.
Akar and Al Inshirah at Dubai have been successful in obtaining contracts outside their territories of UAE. This certainly shows the good sign for our family to grow globally. Akar is carrying out consultancy work in landscaping for a project at Bangalore in India whereas Al Inshirah has been busy supplying kitchen and laundry equipment for Rasslaffan ING Project in Doha (Qatar). Let us wish them good luck for more global projects.
Though quiet, initially for the first half of the year, Al Manabal has shaken up our family by bagging almost half million Rials worth of contract for landscaping work at Mamura Garden Palace Roundabout at Salalah for the 1997 National Day cele-bration. Another landmark created by Al Ansari but this time in the Southern Region of the Sultanate! Kudos to its newly recruited Manager and bis team.
A big thank you to all for your dedication, hardwork and support in the growth of our family. I hope you may find going through this issue interesting, informative and derive great pleasure at being associated with a pleasant and successful family. The following quote may give you some food for thought :
“The ability to deal with people is as a purchasable commodity as sugar or coffee. And I will pay more for that ability than for any other under the sun.”
May Allah grant us all the kindness and sense of love and affection to all.
-Kiran Asher

TRADING DIVISION HIGHLIGHTS AS OF JULY 1997
The Trading Division were rewarded for their efforts and achievements with two prestigious awards.
The first award was presented by the Sales Director of A.O. Smith Water
Products Company, USA, Mr. Moustapha Fahmy. The “Middle East Top Export Sales Award for 1996” has been won by the Trading Division for the second consecutive year for excellent achievement in the sales of A.O. Smith Water Heaters.
This is indeed a remarkable achievement in view of the fierce competition and the fact that there is a strong local manufacturer.
The second award was presented by Mr. Fred Van Ross, Export Manager of K.S.B. Ajax Pumps, Australia. This award titled “Sales Achievement Award For The Highest Sales Growth in 1996” was won by this Division for the first time.
Competing for this award were agents from all over the world.
We are confident that this is a very positive indicator for the Pump Section.
The Trading Division is indeed enthused with these two awards which should spur the department to even greater heights in the future. Kudos to the respective Sales Executives concerned, Mr. Sajeevan and Mr. Deepak Ved, and congratulations to all the support staff who made this possible.
Industrial Coating Division is operating very well with several jobs awarded with respect to painting and industrial maintenance. Due to this intensity of work and fresh orders, its work force has tripled in just one year. With the enhancement of its capacity in workshop the division is ready to face new challenges.
Mr. Deepak Ved and Mr. R.O. Pinto.
